Wet or soiled diapers are a common culprit to night wakings, but there is a way to keep these changes discrete to promote better sleep.

Tips & Tricks:

Use high-absorbency diapers: Sometimes, changing the diaper brand can make all the difference. There’s a reason many companies make nighttime-specific diapers, and they are worth a try if your baby’s nighttime diaper leaks frequently.

Consider extra protection: Diaper booster pads or extra absorbent inserts can enhance your baby’s nighttime diaper absorbency. These can provide additional protection and keep your baby comfortable throughout the night.

Keep calm: Have changing supplies ready to go near your baby’s sleep space to minimize nighttime commotion, and avoid turning bright lights on to prevent fully waking your baby.

Try zipper pajamas: Dress your baby in sleepwear or onesies with zippers that allow for efficiency. Many parents find zippers easier than snaps for quicker changes.

Will it always be this hard? Nope. As your baby gets older and you find a diaper that works, nighttime changes will become less of a worry.
