As you design your baby's nursery or playroom, here's a simple decor tip that often goes unnoticed but can make a significant difference from your baby’s perspective: hang things at their eye level, not yours!

Arranging toys, photos, and artwork in a way that they can safely see allows them to engage with their surroundings more meaningfully. This is beneficial from the start when they are not yet mobile and have limited vision. If everything is set up at your eye level, they won’t be able to see it.

By placing developmentally appropriate items in their line of sight, or about 8-12 inches in front of them, your baby can focus on the details and patterns, fostering their cognitive development and encouraging visual discrimination and tracking skills.

It can be tempting to hang things up high, but remember, baby’s eye level is much lower than yours.
