No, a swing or bouncer should not be used as a sleep spot for your baby. This increases their risk of SIDS. If your baby dozes off in one, always supervise. If possible, transfer them to a bassinet or crib designed for safe sleep with a flat, firm mattress. If they won’t transfer well to a bassinet or crib, consider the safer alternatives of babywearing or letting them contact nap with you while you are awake.
