Sterilizing your baby’s bottles and feeding equipment is essential. It will kill any harmful bacteria that could make your baby sick.

The most common methods are:

  • Boiling:This is the simplest and most effective method. To boil bottles and feeding equipment, fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the bottles and feeding equipment and boil for 5 minutes.

  • Steaming:You can use a stovetop or microwave steamer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for steaming time.

Whatever method you choose, wash all bottles and feeding equipment thoroughly with hot, soapy water before sterilizing. This will help remove any dirt or debris that could harbor bacteria. After, allow the bottles and feeding equipment to cool completely before using. Store them in a clean, dry container.
