Breast milk is an excellent source of infant nutrition and has several potential benefits for their skin and overall well-being. It's a safe home remedy for topical use, thanks to specific proteins that protect against infections, like lactoferrin to counter yeast and secretory immunoglobulin to fight germs.

You can use breast milk topically by dabbing it in small amounts on areas of concern for:

  • Dry or eczema-prone skin

  • Skin irritations, including diaper rash

  • Cradle cap

  • Baby acne

  • Bug bites or minor scrapes

  • Teething pain – freeze it for breast milk popsicles!

It's important to note that while breast milk can be a gentle and natural remedy for these purposes, it may not work for all babies or skin conditions. Additionally, if you have concerns about your baby's skin or suspect a more severe issue, it's crucial to consult with your pediatrician or healthcare provider for proper evaluation and guidance.
