After giving birth, your body will need some time to heal. Several postpartum products can help you recover and make your life a little bit easier during this time.

Here are some of the most helpful postpartum products:

  • Perineal pad: A perineal pad is a thick pad that absorbs any bleeding or discharge from your vagina after childbirth. You will likely need to wear perineal pads for several days or weeks after giving birth.

  • Disposable underwear: Disposable underwear is a good option for the first few weeks after childbirth, as it will help to keep your underwear clean and dry.

  • Nursing or Pumping Bra: A supportive bra can help to relieve pain and discomfort in your breasts after childbirth. Choose a bra made of soft, breathable fabric and featuring adjustable straps.

  • Stool softener: Constipation is a common problem after childbirth. A stool softener can help to make it easier to pass stool.

  • Hemorrhoid cream: Hemorrhoids are another common problem after childbirth. A hemorrhoid cream can help to relieve pain and itching.

  • Ice pack: An ice pack can help to reduce swelling and pain in your perineal area after childbirth. You can place the ice pack on your perineal area for 20 minutes several times a day. We love the Frida mom products, especially this one!

  • Bath pillow: A bath pillow can help keep your back and neck comfortable while bathing. You can also use a bath pillow to support your bottom while sitting on the toilet.

  • Stretch mark cream: Stretch marks are a common skin condition that can occur during pregnancy and after childbirth. A stretch mark cream can help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

  • Nursing pillow: A nursing pillow can help you to comfortably nurse your baby. You can also use a nursing pillow to support your arms and shoulders while breastfeeding. We love the Brest Friend pillow! So supportive.

  • Bottles and pump: If you plan to bottle-feed your baby, you will need bottles and a pump. You may also want to purchase a bottle warmer and/or sterilizer.

It is important to remember that everyone's recovery time is different. Some women may feel better within a few weeks, while others may need a few months to recover fully. Be patient with yourself, and do not push yourself too hard.
