If your baby is otherwise healthy, gaining weight, and doesn't seem distressed by the lack of bowel movements, it can be a normal variation. Breastfed babies may not poop as often as formula-fed babies, and some breastfed babies go up to a week without pooping. Changing formulas or introducing solid foods can also cause changes in bowel movements. Some babies might experience temporary constipation during these transitions.
