Parents of a baby around 2 weeks old who is crying uncontrollably despite various attempts to comfort should contact their pediatrician to rule out any medical issues. At around 6 weeks old, if a baby cries inconsolably for extended periods but is otherwise healthy and well-fed it could be colic. Colic is not a diagnosis and typically improves by 3-4 months old. It can be very overwhelming to care for a colicky baby, so it’s essential to talk to your close circle about layering in breaks and support for you and your partner
