About half of newborns will get something called milia. Characterized by tiny white bumps on the nose and cheeks, they can even appear on the forehead and chin. Milia will look different than baby acne because it doesn’t come with inflammation or swelling. They’re harmless and just need time to go away. If your pediatrician confirms milia, avoid rigorously scrubbing or applying topical creams, as that can make them worse.
