A dream feed is a late-night feeding that you offer your baby, usually between 10 and 11 p.m. Dream feeds aim to help babies sleep for longer stretches by feeding them before they wake from hunger.

To give a dream feed, simply rouse your baby enough to feed them but not enough to wake them up entirely. You can do this by gently stroking their cheek or patting their back. Once they are finished feeding, put them back to bed, and they should fall back asleep quickly.

Try it for a week to see if the dream feed maximizes their sleep stretches.
