Growth spurts are brief but intense periods of rapid growth in your baby’s physical development, and while every baby grows on their own timeline, there are common windows when many parents notice growth spurts – one being month two!

Signs your baby may be in a growth spurt:

  1. Your baby may seem insatiable, demanding more frequent feeds. This is because their body requires extra nutrients to support rapid growth.

  2. Your baby may become fussier than usual. They might cry more, seem clingy, or be harder to soothe.

  3. Your baby's sleep patterns may be disrupted. They might take shorter naps, have difficulty falling asleep, or wake more frequently at night.

It can be challenging to get through these spells, but responding to your baby's cues with reassurance is essential. Growth spurts typically only last a few days to a week, and once they're over, you'll likely notice positive changes in your baby's development.
