Cradle cap is a common, harmless skin condition that causes yellow or white scales to form on your baby’s scalp. The scales may be dry and flaky, or they may be greasy and crusty. It is not contagious and will go away on its own. In the meantime, you can wash your baby's scalp with mild shampoo and use a soft brush to remove the scales gently.
