Lactation consultants generally recommend waiting to introduce a bottle until closer to month two for breastfeeding mothers, which can make it hard for many dads to support night wakings without bottle feeds established. However, you can still rise for night wakings. Offer to change diapers, rock, soothe, and bring the baby to mom for feedings so she doesn’t have to move as much while physically recovering.
