This commonly happens in newborns. It is a result of the top layer of skin shedding. Older babies and toddlers can experience this, too, as it’s common with dry or eczema-prone skin as well. This type of peeling is harmless and doesn’t need special attention. You can carry on normal bathing and moisturizing.
