At two months old, your baby's vision continues to develop, but it's important to note that their visual capabilities are still quite limited compared to older children and adults. They will still be able to focus best on faces and items in close range of 8-12 inches.

What is improving:

  • Visual tracking skillsYour baby may show increased interest in focusing on simple patterns and tracking their mobiles.

  • Color visionTypically, babies can see colors beyond the black-and-white imagery you introduced in month one more clearly by 4 months old. By 2 months, however, they may enjoy vivid primary colors like red, blue, and yellow.
